The Dubai Municipality shall inspect the salon premises and make sure the salon will follow the standard guideline of public safety and maintain hygiene control. Dubai Municipality will ensure the commitment of all Beauty Salons with the public health requirements. Below is the list of requirements you need to keep in mind whilst executing the interior of the salon.
- The planning department of Dubai Municipality must approve the location of the salon.
- A signboard must be placed in front of the beauty salon.
- The lighting used in the salon must be sufficient and the furniture used must be clean and proper.
- As far as dressing chairs are concerned, they should meet the specified guideline by Dubai municipality which is 5m in length and 3.0m in width.
- The height between the ceiling and the floor of the beauty salon must be more than 2.30m.
- A separate area must be designated for beauty treatments like a pedicure, manicure, hair removing, and henna designing.
- Washbasin is a must near the facial treatments area.
- Fireproof materials must be made use of for preparation area for hair removing materials.
- The beauty salon must have a water heater in place.
- Cupboards and drawers must be available to store cosmetics and towels.
The procedure to register a salon License is quite similar to other licenses in Dubai. The following steps to be followed:
- Obtain NOC from DED
- Reserve the Trade Name of the Company
- Choose a Local Service Agent.
- Choose a premise for the
- Apply for No Objection Permit for Public Health and Safety related Activities
- Make an agreement with all partners in the notary public or DED.
- Submit all the documents in DED and pay the Trade License Fee
- The Trade license will be issued
- Apply for the company Establishment card
- Apply for the company Labor card
- Apply for Quotas under the company to be eligible to hire employees
- Apply for employment visas.

License Registration Cost including all formalities: AED 22,000 (Approximate)
Rent of the Shop: it may vary as per the location and size of the shop.
Interior work and furniture and other accessories cost, the cost depends on the quality and quantity you choose.
Employment Visa costs excluding insurance and health card: Approximately AED 5,000 to AED 6,500 depending on the labor category of the company and if the applicant is inside or outside the country.
